CONGRATULATIONS OHIO MATCH TEAM...placing 2nd.besting 9 state teams at the Midwest Matches, as well as, winning BEST DRESSED team for 2009!
Ohio to host the 2011 Matches!!

OGBRA members are asked to think about next years Midwest Matches..OGBRA will host. We will need awards for Women And Mens First & Second place teams (11 each team). Will will need small awards for Best Dressed Team,, Third place team, fastest day runs and fastest average(usually a saddled). Many of you know someone who is in the clothing or tack business. Now is the time to be checking on items and prices. Obviously, the more we order the better pricing. We will exchange award value for sponsorship. We are looking for someone in the club that can head up award selection as well as track sponsors obtained. We will, also, need someone to head up the program. Can you help?????
CONGRATULATIONS to Abbey(Ruppert) & Dave on the the birth of their sun David Augustus (Gus). What a beautiful little boy..and OH! the proud grandparents. OGBRA sent Abbey and the baby a card and small gift.
On a sad note, Shelly Roberts home and barn burned complete(none of her ponies were lost thankfully). Shelly has announced at our shows and is the sister of Teresa Quay. There is a benefit silent auction running for her at www.shellyroberts.com. PLEASE check it out. OGBRA sent her a card and gift/donation of $25. We certainly hope the bad times are over for her!!! We pray God watches over her and her family!.
A big WELCOME to new members Rebeka Bline from Springfield, OH and Summer Perry from Tipp City, OH. IF you see them at a show..please, let them know you are an OGBRA member!
Finally, October 31st winds up our 2010 season. Its not too soon to think about award ideas and shows for 2011. We could use a money making plan to help with the Match costs. We have had a few suggestions. Our year end, MUST ATTEND meeting will be coming up in November. If you have ideas...please email Beth Weaver or me.

OGBRA Meeting Minutes: Spring Meeting Minutes 03/28/2010
It is always a good time to remind OGBRA members that this club is run by YOU the members. It is only with MEMBER participation, that Ohio Girls Barrel Racing Association continues. We are not run by some organization miles away nor by some stranger who dictates rules and awards you have no hand in. This is YOUR club. If OGBRA has a rule you dont like or a rule you think should be added..YOU can have a part in making it better. Remember, all OGBRA records are available for viewing upon request.
****** NEW MEMBERS and REMINDER TO OLD MEMBERS******
OGBRA requires members to obtain a minimum $25 donation to the club 'must work project' as well as work a minimum of 2 hours toward OGBRA's club 'must work project'. If you can not do the work minimum, you are required to pay a penalty of $16 to cover the cost of paying someone to work in your place at the 'must work project'.
In addition: OGBRA requires members to attend the Annual Fall Meeting. If you can not attend this meeting, to remain a member in good standing(receive your rewards), said member must send an excuse to the President or Secretary explaining why you did not attend. Excuse must be received within 24 hours after the meeting. IF you do not attend the meeting or do not send and excuse...your points for the current year will be dropped.
